Comics my old obsession

Recently I've been getting into comic books alot, NOT MANGA! Good old fashioned comic books. A few weeks ago me and Tsunami went to Myth (a local comic book/hobbiest store), well normally she likes to look for Sonic the Hedgehog comics because she's trying to become a pencilist for Archie. Anywho while she was doing this I decided to walk around and saw some really interesting titles, some of which haven't caught my eye since I was a child. let's face it we all went through the X-men phase especially when it came out on TV.

I bought a Artist colab of Lady Death book, Issues #1,2,&3 of the recent Purgatori Series and a few 0thers. I rememebr Lady Death and Purgatori because just before I got out of comics when I was younger they were just coming out. The main reason I got out of them was due to the fact that my father became an ass and was taking away everything I liked because he thought I was a bad child. In reality I was pretty much a perfect kid, the only semi-rebellious thing I ever did was "Gasp" Teach my self to Role-Play. You see my dad was a Role-Player and when I was very young I use to watch him and his friends Role-Play. I always wanted to do it because I wanted to spend time with him. As I got older I soon discovered the joys of Role-playing for myself but by father wanted me to have no part of that. well Phooey on him now, I'm a grown adult and I have a wife who loves Role-playing and we do what we want!

Anywho back on topic, I showed this comics to Tsunami and she fell in love with them too. She thought they were interesting and definately unique from the comic she read growing up. Now we're pretty much both back into comics! Ah what to do next, Role-Playing, Video Games, Comics, where does all the money go!? LOL

RSS addiction

First of all I'll say I love Mozilla they are a wonderful company who continues to make open source programs for everyone free of charge. They have a very active community that is always growing, changing and evolving.

I've been using Mozilla Thunderbird for a while now but only last month did I realize it had a feature to handle RSS feeds. Now I've never messed with RSS feeds before but have seen them floating around the net from time to time. Anywho I decided to give it a try and sweetness now I'm addicted to these babies.

I use to have to worry about which webpages updated when, but now with an RSS feed all I do is check my Thunderbird and the RSS feeds alert me when the pages have been updated. This is great especially for me since I read a few webcomics but don't have the time to actively keep track of when they update.

This is also very useful for news on important sites like shoping and etc and now I'm addicted to them. So if you have/know of an interesting RSS feed you think is worth sharing just send it to me and let me know!

So yea, Birthday to say woo... Old enough to accomplish just about nothing again. Just a normal day as far as I'm concerned except Tsunami made me a yummy cake! Sugoi! aside from that nothing new ladies and jelly spoons.

Alos me and Tsunami created our own little Sonic Heros team called Team Kinetix. We'll be doing little web comics based on that general concept. I already uploaded the first strip.

Fallout 2, How I've missed thee

Whee... Just got another copy of Fallout 2. It's an awesome Post Nuclear Role-Playing Game. The original Game Fallout was great too but what I didn't like about it was the fact that you only had a 30 day time limit to beat the game I thought that made things alot less fun. I know I'm the type of person who loves to explore everything and do all the quests I can.

Anywho I got it and within two days I beat the game. Woo... It's by no means a short game at all I just rushed through it so much. and still finished it at lvl 23. That's gotta be some kind of record or something. Maybe not.

I also found this awesome classic add for the Game Fallout2 as well!

I swear if this game had multiplayer or net access it would kick so much ass! I love it that much normally I get bored of Single Player only RPG's but this game so great you get pulled in. I love the storyline so much and the way that the Government plays a roll in it all. Wow it's just like "Gwhah?! VO_OV"

I seriously recomend this classic to anyone who's looking for a great new experience with a retro feel. It takes a while to get into but once you start it it's very very hard to stop! I spent my entire senior year of High School enthralled with this game. It leaves me with a good feeling to know that after all these years playing through it leaves you with that same feeling of eerie realization.

Been so stressed because We have to move again, but on the bright side it's to my great grandparents house. This house is so great and nice it brings back great childhood memories but sadly it's so small! I'm going to probably have a Garage Sale after moving in completely just so I can have space.

I have so much shit to pack away I only have about 1/4th of my stuff moved, my books, and clothes really. I still have all my video game systems and Computer misc to pack away too but damn... it's too much for me. Not to mention that gas is pain in the ass so it's making things even worse.

And on top of that My poor Tsunami is so stressed out from College. I feel terrible when I ask her to help me pack and move. I know the poor thing is tired and stressed out as it is but there's sometimes I need help. I hope when December 9th rolls around she can relax finally.

Oy my head hurts to much I can't sleep, and when I wake up I'm so disoriented. I hate this so much but it needs to be done. I just wish someone else could pack up my stuff for me. Not that I'm lazy or anything, there's just SO much of it.

Anywho that's it for now I might not be online for a while because of switching phone lines and cable to the new house.

Maybe it's just me but I'd probably give anything to be in Lousiana / Missippi right now. That is true survival a real adventure of the body, mind & spirit.

I mean I see all this crap on the news about all the people surviving and there doing nothing just laying there and waiting for die basically. I mean hell I know it was a natural diasater and stuff but they just gave up damnit!

I would love to be roughing it there. Just surviving. There is no law there and for some reason that excites me. I mean I'm not an anarchist or anything; I do think society is collapsing upon itself and it's only a matter of time before a Zombie outbreak ends a majority of the human race. But god damn you have to learn what you can now! Survive! I would give almost anything to be there.

Maybe it's too much d20 modern reading but shit... I would love to be there... those people need a leader.

King of Fighters 99 - Dream Match

Finally after years and years I've obtained a copy of King of Fighters 99 - Dream Match, whic is really just King of Fighters 98 but ported the most beloved of all consoles. The Dreamcast

I have yet to play to play it but I know I'm gonna love it, because i'm probably the single biggest King of Fighters fan where I live! 98 is like my 3rd favorite year actually...

Favorite King of Fighter years

King of Fighters 97 - The Year Orochi was Released, Who doesn't love the chance to fight a god?! I love the deep story and the way Iori betrays Orochi.
King of Fighters 99 - The Year of the NESTS, also the year that got me into King of Fighters originaly. Ah K' and all his Beast of Prey'ness
King of Fighters 2001 - The Year when the NESTS collapsed. Also the Year that Kula was easily Played (not like in 2000), Vanessa was nigh unbeatable, and Yuri had a Raging Demon'ish move
King of Fighters 2003 - The Year the Tag system was introduced. Things were a bit too fast paced for a KoF game but whew anytime Iori has 4 Desperation Moves is a great Year!
King of Fighters 98 - This year is easily KoF perfection. The gameplay was solid not too unbalanced and the graphics were very well put together for a 2D fighter.

My god I'm fucking exhausted... I've spent like 3 days in a row moving things from my dad's old house to my house. when my parents diovorced I lost Alot of stuff so this is my chance to get them back...

So far I've only gotten about 1/4th of my stuff but I did find lots of neat things to sell on eBay, mostly crappy EverQuest stuff. I also got alot of old Magic Cards! Yea magic the days when I owned people with an unbeatable white deck, or a green deck.

I'm sure the rules have chaged quiet a bit but still I've taught Tsunami to play and she seems to like it. Also currently running a Vampire the Masquerade Chronicle. The city is named Eden and I totally made up this shit off the top of my head. So far it's running pretty good though.

hmm... also I'm working on a homemade Role-playing game based around Masters of Orion 2. I have played Masters of Orion 1 & 3 but they all seem so "Oh for fuck sake..." Part two had the right races, the right ammount of balance and also the correct ammount of info to convert it into an rpg.

I decided to go with the Tri-Stat system because it's simple and can be used for anything. However instead of being "The Masters of Orion" as is typical with the games. The players will assume the roles as the Leaders that help the Rulers run their empires.

In short they will assume the heros, the day to day adventures in the universe who are looking for work, excitement, or wealth. but anyways... i'll rant more on that later I'm tired...

Well today just sucked... I found out my aunt is coming to visit, my aunt who tries to take over the house and tell us how to live... and to top it off I have to get rid of/give all my kittens to someone else to watch for a 2 weeks she'll be here... cause she hates animals... even if they are outside...

but on the bright side, I've written out the plot synopsis for my first book of my series "Luminious Nocturne" bluntly it means The Bright Night or The Lively Night. It's about vampires but not the traditional way. I'm hoping to get it published and get some money... maybe that will be my lucky break... I can only hope!

Now I just got to start typing it up. I'm debating if I should post a few of it at my DA for critique I'm afraid of someone stealing my ideas. but oh well... still thinking...

Getting is a job is just too damn hard these days... anyone who says it's easy to find a job is a liar. It's damn near impossible possibly because it's summer and because of this damn economic depression were in. I swear though i've applied damn well everywhere I can that is in driving range.

Sheesh... It really aggitates me to no end... I want to be A+ certified and all these other ceritfactions that I know I can easily obtain but I need Money to take the damn tests... only by getting certified can I even attempt to hope to get a decent computer job.

I've tried running my own computer business but people always think I charge too much... which is utter BS considering if you send your computer to Dell to get it reformated and recovered it's about $800 - $1000 dollars depending on how much they think they can screw you over... I swear the most I've ever charged was $80 and that was for a total computer recovery... damn idiot people. I guess I just have to keep looking... hopefully... I can get alittle money saved up then invest and get some more on the stock market... one can only hope...

Geek at heart

What can I say? I'm a geek at heart. Not that I'm complaining, I'm very proud of my geeky heritage! Mainly because I hope to be getting the new Star Wars d20, Pencil & Paper Role-playing game. Tthe d20 system is just the new Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 System. It's a pretty simple game system and has alot of room for explore.

But I have to admit the rpg system I admire the most is the d10 system. Famous in the games Vampire - The Masquerage, Werewolf - The Apocalypse, Mage - The Ascension, & Wraith - The Oblivion. The neat thing about the World of Darkness is the games can all crossover and you can mix your characters.

But I've been writing a book recently so I've been playing alot of these old games for inspiration. and recently my fiancee has drawn some fanart of my characters as well, and since Mage was the game we were playing.

Cobwebs

Another old character of mine from the World of Darkness. Her name is Cobwebs, although that is not her true name. She is a Mage from the Tradition of the Hollow Ones. She is a goth who focuses mostly on the study of spirits although her main sphere is Forces. Also she's a fan of the band Blessed Damnation, which is Alex Elder's Band (my other WoD character, Alex Elder is a Vampire from Clan Brujah).

She owns and runs a small Cafe and Occult bookstore called The Spider's Web. Although she's not exactly a people person, but she sells some Charms, Talismans, & Books. The Cafe section is actually very small but her view is people like to sit and drink while reading so why not charge them for what she likes to do as well.

The Spider's Web has a nice supply of regulars and although she runs it mainly alone aside from a couple of sleepers that wait tables and aid in her research (Sleepers is a mage term for Mortals that haven't awakened their magic potentional).
